100 Words – Angels

I was having an especially bad day that day. I don’t even remember why now. The young man who bagged the groceries in Ralph’s, whom I’d often seen before and even exchanged pleasantries with walked up to me while I was standing and staring at the soup cans, put his hand on my arm and said, “Don’t worry. Everything is going to be all right.” A feeling of relief immediately washed over me. How did he know? I’m sure he was one of my angels, and I’ll never forget his gesture.
